Extending Triangle is a site-specific performance
for a neglected slab of concrete named after
abstract painter Barnett Newman, situated at the
junction of 6th Avenue, Church, Franklin and White
Streets, in the Tribeca neighborhood of Manhattan.

Using two boulders located on site, some rope, and
the one-minute switch in traffic light signals, I use
my body to try and extend the boundaries of
Barnett Newman’s Triangle. Pursuing questions I
have about the making of time, and how public
space is used, and expanding perspectives, and
what trust can mean.
