These photographs, which document in sculptural terms, components of protest uniforms belonging to protagonists John Turano and Alexei Wood,
can be understood more fully as the documentary evidence of a process designed for the development of trust between myself and these
individuals: a trust instance. The series of actions which comprise this performance would involve meeting with and presenting their stories
(see Discussion Works, following page) but would, as part of the presentation, require Mr. Turano and Mr. Wood to lend me their respective
demonstration ensembles. After recording possession of the gear, and wearing it, I would then return to them their equipment in person: offering
to the protagonists, and to viewers, a kind of aesthetic proof that trust and dialogue are still today possible.
